Fujitsu's M2511A is the industry's first one-inch profile 3.5-inch magneto optical disk drive. Behind the one-inch high design is our unique spindle-loading technology. While a conventional drive lets the cartridge drop to setting after its insertion, Fujitsu's spindle-loading technology allows the spindle of the drive itself to immediately come into contact with the inserted cartridge, eliminating the vertical displacement space.
The M2511A has a rapid data transfer rate of 1.09 megabytes per second, and average seek time of 30 milliseconds, among the highest in its class. Featuring low power consumption through Fujitsu's advanced LSI technology, the M2511A requires only a single +5VDC power source.
