Make sure that the MOcity subsystem has been given a unique ID on the SCSI bus.
Key 4 : Active termination
If the MOcity subsystem is located at the end of the SCSI bus then termination should be switched on. If you are already using passive termination on your present configuration, you might like to consider the benefits of active termination by placing the subsystem at the end of the bus.
Key 5 : Macintosh mode
Some older Macintosh machines require that the response to a UNIT ATTENTION is disabled. Setting this key to enabled will ensure this. If you need to use the subsystem as a boot device whilst connected to a Mac then this function invariably needs to be enabled.
Key 6 : Verify after write mode.
When enabled the write sequence for the device is ERASE, WRITE, VERIFY. When disabled the verify phase is ommitted thus speeding up the write capabilityies of the drive. Use with caution.
Key 9 : Auto spindle stop
Dust inside the cabinet of the subsystem or on a disk cartridge can be a problem for the functionality of the drive. By enabling auto spindle stop the drive will stop spinning the disk after about 30 minutes of drive inactivity and help reduce the likelyhood of dust entering those items. The response time after the drive has spun down will of course be slower taking about 4 seconds to spin up on a read or write request.
