Fujitsu DL700
This printer, which primarily operates with the Fujitsu DPL24C PLUS command set, emulates printers of the IBM Proprinter XL24E command set and the Epson ESC/P2 command set (LQII70 equivalent).
Character sets.
IBM PC character sets 1 and 2 are available for the Fujitsu DPL24C PLUS command set and the IBM Proprinter XL24E emulation. The Epson Italic character set and graphics character sets I and 2 are available for the Epson ESC/P2 emulation. Various national character sets are available for each emulation, such as IBM P512 code pages, ISO 88594 /ECMA 94, and other language-specific character sets.
Multiple fonts.
The printer has ten resident fonts: Courier 10, Pica 10, OCR-B 10, Prestige Elite 12, Boldface PS, Nimbus Sans normal PS, Timeless normal PS, Correspondence, Compressed, and Draft. Up to 24K bytes are available for downloading fonts.
High-speed printing.
At 10 cpi, print speed ranges from 60 cps for letter quality printing to 180 cps for draft quality printing.
Large print buffer.
The print buffer, 24K bytes maximum, allows you to send files to the printer and return to work in your application.
1st Column print line.
114 column printers enable A4 portrait and Landscape printing or 136 column printing at elite pitch (12 cpi).
Superior paper handling.
Paper "parking" for continuous forms makes it easy to switch between continuous forms and single sheets. An optional cut sheet feeder enables single sheets to be fed automatically.
Maintenance-free.
Periodic cleaning and changing the ribbon cartridge are all that's required.
Auto tearoff.
Continuous forms are fed automatically up to the tearoff point at the end of each job.
Remote set-up utility.
Printer operating conditions are easily set from the host computer using the DLMENU which is stored on the floppy disk supplied with this printer. This disk also includes printer drivers for Microsoft Windows.
Installation
The DL700 is a Centronics interfaced printer, there is no serial interface option available.
Pin 18 does not provide any power for external devices.

Switch & Jumper Settings
The DL700 has no dip switches or jumper settings. Use the supplied DLMENU program to change printer configuration. On non PC systems or when DLMENU is not available holding down the LOAD & ONLINE buttons during power up will put the printer into off-line set up mode, the printer will print out further instructions on the operation of this mode.
