M2712, M2713, and M2714T Specifications

Fujitsu offers a new 2.5-inch disk drive series with storage capacity of 544 to 1088 MB in a 12.5 millimetre high, low profile unit. This has been achieved by adopting the the industry's most advanced technologies that made an areal density of 870 Mbits per square inch possible namely Magneto-Resistive (MR) heads , PR4ML read channel technology and advanced galss media.

The M271X series features intelligent power management, which requires only 1.09 watts for reading and writing, 0.79 watts for idle mode, 0.39 watts for standby mode and a meagre 0.24 watts for sleep mode. The unit only draws 0.7 amps while spinning up.

High performance offers internal data transfer rates of 6.77MB/second and an interface tranfer rate of up to 16.77MB/second.

Reliability is ensured with the use of SMART (Self-monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) which gives warning of impending drive problems well in advance while the operating shock rating of 100G makes it most suitable for the portable computing environment.
