Precautions for Installation
- Position the scanner well away
from any electrically noisy sources. The scanner
should not be placed close to strong magnetic
fields and strong air currents. Placed close to
air conditioning units, TV sets and photocopiers,
the scanner may operate incorrectly.
- Keep the scanner out of direct
sunlight and away from any heat sources.
- Do not install the scanner in a
position where vibration may occur.
- Do not install the scanner in a
humid or dusty environment.
- Be aware of static electricity.
Ensure that the flooring and support for the
scanner are made of materials that do not
generate static electricity.
Preparation for Installation
Lift the document cover and remove
the shipping retainer screw and store in a safe
place. Remove the carrier fixing bracket from the
base of the unit and store it in the location
provided on the base. It is imperative that should
the scanner be transported at any time that all
shipping retainers are in place.
