from any heat sources.

ensure adequate air circulation.

Diagnostics
The ScanPartner 10 has diagnostics to help
determine the cause of some operational problems.
Some of the diagnostics function with the scanner
online, while others are part of a separate offline
diagnostics feature.
Online Diagnostics.
Determine operational problems by observing
the control panel Ready and Paper Jam LEDs. With the
scanner online and operating normally, the Ready LED
is on and the Paper Jam LED is off. Any other LED
combination indicates a problem.

Switch Settings
There is only one one switch that needs to be
configured before the scanner is connected to the
SCSI bus. The SCSI ID selection switch, located at
the back of the scanner close to the interface
connector, must be changed to a unique number.
Normally the host would take ID 7 with peripheral
devices taking IDs 0 through 6 although convention
requires that the scanner appears at ID 5. Check the
SCSI host documentation for further details.
